Saturday 27th March 2004 marked the official opening for the season of Scotland’s Secret Bunker.
This is our 10th Aniversaryand it went with a bang we were taken aback by the sheer number of visitors we had.
Sunday was even better when we had an official visit from the Scottish Military Vehicle Group who spent the day with us. This is the fifth consecutive year that we have had the privilege of their company. They came with a spectacular collection of vintage military vehicles. Visitors to The Bunker were intrigued and fascinated by these vehicles and the ex military personel who accompanied them, many of whom had their own stories from yester year of when the vehicles were in use. Visitors to The Bunker that day were given unrestricted access to the vehicles and commented what a wonderful experiance this was.
Visitors were shocked to see the Special Air Service "SAS" patrolling the site. They were equally surprised to be stopped and challenged by “armed guards” at the gated entrance to Scotland’s Secret Bunker. After rolling down their car windows they were relieved when “ armed guards “ distributed mini Easter eggs to the accompanying children !
